Avon Beach Canoe Forecast
Friars Cliff · United Kingdom
Avon Beach scores 77/100 for canoe today at its best ability level (expert). The beach faces SE. A sheltered, sandy beach at a harbour mouth with a designated watersports zone, calm enough for swimming and paddling alongside beginner-to-intermediate windsurfing and kitesurfing. The seabed shelves gently with sand bars giving flat water at low tide and small beach-break waves from mid-to-high tide on SW swell. Submerged sandbars are a fin-snapping hazard at low tide. RNLI lifeguards patrol from mid-July; dogs are banned 1 May to 30 September.
