About 2.5km long with vegetated dunes, it has an exposed Atlantic beach break on the ocean side and flat-to-choppy lagoon water on the north side, favoured for kitesurfing and windsurfing, with strong currents at the inlet. Dogs are not permitted. Tidal range runs 0.7m to 3.2m.
