Gwithian Beach Kayak Forecast

Gwithian Beach scores 77/100 for kayak today at its best ability level (advanced). The beach faces S. A long, exposed Atlantic sandy beach break toward a headland, producing lefts and rights on west-northwest swells, best mid-to-low tide with offshore wind. Wide low-tide sand flats draw kitesurfers, windsurfers and kite buggies alongside surfers; often crowded. Hazards include rip currents, shifting sandbars, shorebreak at higher tide, and rocks near the headland. RNLI lifeguards patrol 5 May–30 Sept, 10am–5pm. Dogs banned 10am–6pm, 1 July–31 Aug.
