A sloped design limits wave action, making this a calm swimming beach rather than a surf, kite, or windsurf spot. Shells and glass shards at low tide are a foot-injury hazard, and swimming is not possible then, as water recedes far from shore. Dogs are banned 1 April-14 October. Lifeguards supervise daily in July and August.
