Plage Sainte-Anne scores 94/100 for kitefoil today at its best ability level (expert). The beach faces SW. A long, sandy-and-pebble Atlantic beach dominated by windsurfing and kitesurfing, with a dedicated kite zone and a nautical centre at its southern end; surfing is also practised. Pavillon Bleu certified, free to enter, dogs and barbecues permitted. The SDIS supervises in July and August only. At low tide the foreshore extends widely with seaweed and adhesive mud; the flood tide rises fast and can cut off retreat, so escape routes should be planned ahead.
