An Atlantic beach on the Aveiro coast, backed by a protected dune system reached via boardwalks; walking off them onto the dunes is discouraged. Rocks around the breakwater are a hazard, so mid-to-high tide is safer for entry and exit. Lifeguards patrol the bathing season, 13 June-13 September.
