A sheltered, roughly 330 m Atlantic beach whose sandy shore narrows to almost nothing at high tide against a sea wall, with a mixed sand-and-cobblestone seabed. Its western side holds a mellow right-hand point break over cobblestones; the main break needs a southerly swell. Submerged rock and sea urchins are present throughout the bathing area at all tide stages. Lifeguards patrol 1 May-30 September, 9am-7pm, with quad bikes and jet skis for rescue.
