Jackson’s Bay Kitesurf Forecast

Barry · United Kingdom

Jackson’s Bay scores 84/100 for kitesurf today at its best ability level (advanced). The beach faces SW. A sheltered, south-facing sandy cove on the quieter side of a headland, about 170 metres long with soft golden sand and a gentle slope, used for calm-water swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Submerged rocks are a hazard, and a large mud/sand patch is exposed at low tide. There is no lifeguard; the extreme Bristol Channel tidal range and strong currents demand tide-awareness, with entry best timed from two hours before high tide.
