Freshwater Bay Windsurf Forecast
Freshwater Bay · United Kingdom
Freshwater Bay scores 82/100 for windsurf today at its best ability level (advanced). The beach faces S. A compact, sheltered chalk-cliff cove on the SW tip of the Isle of Wight, used mainly for surfing and SUP. The main feature is a right-hand reef/point break over rock, suited to intermediate/advanced surfers around low tide; conditions favour winter, often flat in summer. Jagged rocks are the chief hazard. Cliff wind-shadowing makes windsurfing and kitesurfing rare. Dogs banned on the central beach 1 May-30 Sept; an independent lifeboat operates nearby.
