A north-facing Channel beach break with steep shingle-and-pebble shore turning sandy at low tide, backed by 90-105 m chalk cliffs. Heavy shorebreak, cross-currents, and submerged rocks make entry demanding; it works best mid-ebb on NW swell with SE wind, windsurfing also viable. Kitesurfing is banned year-round and cliff bases must be avoided. A supervised zone runs July-August at the rescue post; tidal range is around 9.5 m.
