The beach break has a severe, steep shorebreak described locally as very dangerous, activated by westerly thermal winds or Mistral, bringing strong winds and large swell. It is favoured by expert kitesurfers, wingfoilers and sailors but reserved for experts only. No lifeguard post is documented; a fatal drowning required coastguard boat rescue.
