A narrow, sheltered sandy beach at the foot of a tall coastal dune, facing a sandbank at a tidal basin entrance, with deep, calm water and little to no wave action rather than a surf or watersport venue. Kitesurfing is prohibited here by prefectoral order; access is by staircase only. Tidal currents are strong at this basin entrance, and the nearby sandbank can trap people as the tide rises.
