A large, 2km dune-backed sandy beach with pebble sections and rocky outcrops, partly sheltered from the south but open to westerly and north-westerly wind and swell. An offshore sandbank produces occasional waves; the shallow flat is otherwise semi-sheltered, with a narrow rock-free channel needed to clear the rocks. Kitesurf and windsurf are banned 15 May-15 September. A naturist section lies south of a blockhouse. Unsupervised, no lifeguard post.
