A large, sheltered, crescent-shaped, NE-facing golden-sand beach shielded from Atlantic swell, giving calm, flat-water conditions rather than surf. Sandy throughout, suited to swimming, SUP and kayak; at lower tides it broadens and joins the adjacent beach, widening the launch area. RNLI lifeguards patrol daily mid-May–late-Sept, 10am–6pm; swim between the flags. Dogs banned 10am–6pm, 15 May–30 Sept. On-beach centre offers supervised SUP and kayak hire.
