Submerged rocks on its western side form a point break producing mostly short left-handers on a SW swell, suited to bodyboarding and beginner-to-intermediate surfing; windsurfing is also practised. The western rocks are hazardous at low tide, while the central and eastern sand sections are safer year-round. Lifeguards on duty 18 May-15 September.
