Sandy Bay Beach Windsurf Forecast
Porthcawl · United Kingdom
Sandy Bay Beach scores 89/100 for windsurf today at its best ability level (advanced). The beach faces S. A wide, gently sloping sandy bay in the lee of a harbour wall, sheltered from south-westerly winds and gentler than more exposed breaks nearby, with rock pools on the eastern headland at low tide. Surf is best at mid to high tide; low tide brings a fast, heavy break with strong rips and long walks back. Used for surfing, bodyboarding, paddleboarding and kite/windsurfing. RNLI lifeguards patrol seasonally; jet skis are not permitted.
