A rocky outcrop sits at the west end; elsewhere the sandy beach break produces left and right waves, used for surf, bodyboard, SUP, kitesurf, windsurfing, and kayak, with a designated kite zone. Dogs are banned May-September except 8pm-8am on a lead. A rescue post and SNSM station provide staffed cover through summer.
