Sand and rock pools are exposed at low tide, but the beach vanishes at high water when the sea reaches the seawall. Facing NNW into the North Sea, it offers small beach-break conditions for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and sailing; powered watercraft cannot launch here. RNLI lifeguards patrol 18 July-6 September.
