A west-facing sand beach break backed by protected dunes, with easy, manageable waves suited to beginner surfers, plus heavy kitesurf and windsurf use. Best around high to mid tide. A strong lateral current can carry riders toward a WWII blockhouse at the north end. Dogs are banned 1 May-30 September; kite launching is forbidden outside the beach itself. A seasonal rescue post runs roughly 13:30-18:30 in July-August; outside those hours it is unsupervised.
