A large, sheltered Blue Flag beach of fine white sand inside a bay, NW-facing but well-protected, rarely producing waves -- a calm, flatwater venue for windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding and swimming rather than surfing. Lifeguards patrol daily 12:00-6:30pm, June-September, with swimmers directed between the flags. Dogs are banned from the flagged area 12:00-7:00pm in bathing season. Low tide leaves the beach notably shallow.
