A compact, sheltered, west-facing sandy cove beneath rocky cliffs giving some wind shelter, with pebbles, a sea wall, and rock pools at low tide. Used for swimming, bodyboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and windsurfing, it can produce breaking waves in onshore swell. Access is via slipway or steps, easiest at mid-to-low tide; high tide risks being cut off. RNLI lifeguards patrol 6 July-8 September, plus a year-round inshore lifeboat. Dogs banned May-September.
