Oddicombe Beach scores 95/100 for kitefoil today at its best ability level (expert). The beach faces E. A compact, sheltered shingle-and-sand beach beneath red sandstone cliffs, reached by a cliff railway or steep road. East-facing and sheltered from swell, it suits calm-water swimming, kayaking and light watersports rather than surfing. At low tide a sandy area and rock pools are exposed, with rock across much of the wider foreshore. There is no lifeguard service. The north end is closed permanently for rockfall risk. Dogs are banned 1 May-30 September.
