A broad, fine-sand family beach about 400m long in a sheltered bay just north of the Gironde estuary mouth, with full seasonal lifeguard cover. The sandy break gives small, inconsistent surf — best in spring and autumn, flat in summer — with zones for surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing and kite separate from the flagged swim area. Best entry is mid-to-high tide; low tide turns shallow and closes out. Dogs are banned April–September.
