It is an exposed beach break with left- and right-handers, fairly consistent surf best on a southwest swell with a northeast offshore wind, strongest in winter and spring; rip currents are a noted hazard. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are also practised, restricted in summer to signposted zones. Seven lifeguard posts and Cruz Roja operate in season. No nudism.
