A long, west-facing beach of coarse sand and fine shingle, backed by a wetland SSSI and partly sheltered by the offshore Thurlestone Rock arch. Onshore southwest winds and sheltered water inside the arch support windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, with seasonal hire on site.
